There's a gap right now between companies that know they should be using AI and anyone who can build it for them. The people selling AI solutions don't understand the business. The people running the business can't tell if what they're being sold is real or a demo that falls apart in production.
I kept seeing this from both sides. I've been programming since I was ten and studying machine learning at a low level for years. I've also spent enough time around operating businesses to know that most of them are bleeding time on things software could handle yesterday. d11 started because those two worlds weren't talking to each other.
The idea is simple. We sit with a business, look at how it runs, find the places where AI would save real time or money, and then we build the systems. Working software that goes into production.
